| Day 2 | Rio de Janeiro | RIO DE JANEIRO - CORCOVADO & BEACHES TOUR Today ascend Corcovado Mountain on colorful cog train through luxuriant Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, to summit for close up view of imposing statue of Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy spectacular views of Rio, "La Cidade Maravilhosa", including world famous Sugar Loaf, Guanabara Bay, and beautiful beaches. Then proceed to Cascatinha, Tijuca Forest, and wide sandy beaches of Leblon and Ipanema as you return to your hotel. | Day 4 | Iguassu Falls | RIO DE JANEIRO - IGUASSU FALLS At prescheduled hour, private car transfer to the Airport for flight to awe-inpiring Iguassu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil. Arrival and private car transfer to your hotel, the TROPICAL DAS CATARATAS, merely steps from the famous falls. | Day 6 | Buenos Aires | BUENOS AIRES - CITY TOUR Three hour guided tour of this magnificent city reminiscent of many European capitals with its narrow streets and tree-lined boulevards, turn of the century architecture, sidewalk cafes and elegant window shops. Your visit begins on busy Avenue 9 de Julio, the impressive Colon Theatre and famous Obelisk, symbol of the city. Continue to Government district and Legislative Palace dating to early 20th century. Then to historic Plaza de Mayo and beautiful "Casa Rosada", the Presidential home. Nearby is the Cathedral where the remains of Argentina's greatest national hero the liberator General San Martin lie. Then to the colorful Boca district and funky out-door art museum. Ring along port of Buenos Aires on route to magnificent homes of Palermo and elegant shops and exciting nightlife of Recoleta. Rest of the day free to shop and explore on your own, or enjoy an optional tour to world famous Tango Show. (B) |
| Day 7 | Buenos Aires | BUENOS AIRES Day at leisure to shop the smart boutiques along Florida and Avenida Santa Fe. Leather and suede, and Argentine handicraft are absolute musts at bargain prices. For a fun evening, try Spadavecchia's Cantina in the Boca district. Food is plentiful, though not gourmet, but there's plenty of singing and dancing in the aisles. Or take an optional tour to an authentic Fiesta Gaucha. Leave Buenos Aires for pastoral countryside to enjoy traditional music, dancing and sumptuous Argentine barbecue. Following lunch, enjoy Argentine Gauchos display their extraordinary skill on horseback. (B) |
